Cornelis Troost- Blindemannetje Spelen- 18th century- Dutch

After about 1670 Dutch art declined almost as suddenly as it had risen to greatness. Holland continued to be strong, but could no longer rank as a power against England and France. French rococo influence became dominant in late 17th- and 18th-century Dutch art, and most of the life and originality of the country's great age of painting disappeared. The most important painters of the 18th century were Cornelis Troost (1697–1750). Cornelis Troost developed his own style during this period.
